19:45 From Chaos To Certainty – Using Kintana at QinetiQ - Sue Wagland, Focal Point Systems and Richard Postance, Kintana

Configuration Management for the largest ERP implementation in Western Europe is challenging enough, but when the government decided that DERA, the research arm of the MOD, and its ERP systems, would be split in two, the risks were greatly enhanced. DERA – now QinetiQ – decided to implement Kintana, a process automation tool ideal for managing the change processes for large IT projects. This talk describes what problems were faced, and why Kintana is now an integral part of the QinetiQ IT infrastructure.

Sue has 17 years’ experience in IT, most recently as a consultant with Focal Point Systems. In the last two years she has specialised in change management, testing and configuration management. Richard is a consultant with Kintana and will give a short explanation of the Kintana product.
